Sober Sipping

Everything comes in different forms and so do the booze. It has a sober lookalike which will surely win over the hearts and the taste buds. By Prateek Sharma
The booze and the parties have an old connection. When you have the booze you party and vice-versa, isn’t it right? But parties don’t invite booze always; some have mock-tails in the guest list too, and they are for everyone. Take a sneak peek into the VIPs of the party.
AFTERGLOW
Mock-tails have weird names so don’t bother about it. As per the name of this drink ’afterglow’, there is nothing that will glow. This is an easy-to-make healthy drink to sip and chill. All that you need is pineapple and orange juice, some crushed ice and soda. Mix it like a DJ does before you pour it in the glass. Be a bartender for yourself and enjoy.

THE BLUE HAWAIIAN
The flavor which never misses a mark, Blue Hawaiian, is another show stopper. The story behind its name is quite long, and shall be saved for some other day. This mainly involves pineapple as the base, so let’s begin. Take a jar and add some pineapple juice with some slices of the fruit itself and leave it. Get 3 tbsp of sugar mixed with the blue lagoon in another bowl. Allow both the mixtures to settle while blending them nicely. Once done, serve them with ice cubes.

CRUSHED KIWI
Relax, the little bird is perfectly alright. We’re here to tell about the kiwi mock-tail which is a healthy delicacy. If feeling under the mood, take this mocktail and uplift your spirits. It just needs a finely chopped kiwi fruit, khus syrup, 50 ml cold milk and ice. Yeah, good that the process is at your fingertips but let’s revise. Take the blender and add milk, khus syrup and chopped kiwi fruit and let the blender do its job. Take it out, add the ice cubes and it’s done! Sip it.

RASPBERRY ROSE MOCK-TAIL
Red and pink coloured mock-tails are irresistible. One such beautiful and slurpy mocktail is made out of the raspberries and is blood red in colour. The preparation requires two bunches of fresh raspberries, 50 ml water, 2 tbsp of rose syrup, some soda powder and ice cubes. Take a bowl and mash the berries. Meanwhile, mix soda with water and add the mashed berries, make them wrestle for 2 to 3 minutes. Take a pitcher and pour the crushed ice and the berry mixture, shake them well. Alright, it’s ready to be served pals, enjoy.
