“My honey can do wonders because she’s sweet”. The line you just read stands correct for the one who adds flavor in life. Let’s talk about the other honey. Honey is suitable even for the diabetics. It’s a thick golden liquid which never rots. Read about some honey-based mouth watering preparations:
Sesame Honey Chilly Potato

Honey flavored chilly potatoes are a yummy preparation to try. Mix the potatoes, oil, red chilly powder, tomato sauce, garlic and salt well. Take a baking tray, grease it with oil, place the potato fingers and bake it for 30-45 minutes. Keep turning the potatoes while baking. Deep fry them using corn flour. Place them on absorbent paper and keep it aside for the oil to slightly dry up. In the heavy bottomed vessel, add oil and garlic and stir well. Add the red chilly sauce, vinegar and tomato sauce and stir extremely well. Add the potatoes and the honey and combine everything and stir properly. Garnish the dish with some sesame seeds, well cut spring onions and chopped coriander.

 

Honey Almond Milk Shake

A tasty and nutritious combo, it is a feast for the gym rats and those scoops of vanilla won’t harm. 3 scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 cup milk, 2 table spoons honey and some crushed almonds are the only requirements. Blend all together and ensure everything mixes smoothly without causing lumps. Pour into a tall milkshake glass, leaving a little bit of room at the top. Add an additional scoop of ice cream into the glass and top with sliced almonds for garnish.

 

Mulled Cider

An aromatic drink to sip on that will set the mood for the occasion. For this, we need cardamom pods, lightly crushed, 1 Clementine sliced into wedges spiked with 8 cloves,1 lemon sliced into wedges and spiked with 8 cloves, 100ml whisky and100ml orange liquor (oh yeah) 3 tablespoons of clear honey, and 1 liter cider, 4 cinnamon sticks and freshly grated nutmegs to garnish. So the preparation goes this way- Heat all of the cider toddy ingredients over a low heat until warmed. Pour them in heatproof glasses give the finishing touch with grated nutmeg. That’s all folks! You are in for a yummy treat.

Honey Kaju Katli

Kaju Katli is the best. Lightly roast the cashews and bring to room temperature. Grind them to a powder, add roast at low heat. Add the honey. Mix well with no lumps. Continue stirring till the paste thickens and starts folding in at the sides like halwa, take a small portion and roll it into a ball. In a greased plate pour the cashew mixture. Let it cool down for 10mnts. If the mixture is hard, add a little milk, when cool, cut into a shape of your choice.
